Westside Animal Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our high-volume small animal team. You will perform nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, IV catheter placement, and diagnostic workups with a skilled team across services.

With 3+ years of experience and an RVT license in Colorado, you will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values patient care and client communication.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years veterinary clinical experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Colorado, or eligible to transfer within 3 months of hire.
• Experience with animal handling and restraint across species.

• Provide nursing care in a hospital setting.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgery, including intubation and recovery.
• Place IV catheters and collect samples for lab work.

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Westside Animal Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

• Salary: $19-$22/hr per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
• Schedule: 4/10, some Saturday coverage required.
• Hospital is open Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 6 pm, Saturday 8 am - 3 pm.
• Location: 1603 W Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80904

Who You Are

• 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a Veterinary Technician
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Colorado, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with small animals, birds, and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species
• Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dental procedure experience, scaling and polishing
• Skilled in IV Catheter placement and all blood draws
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
• And all other duties of a Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
