Job summary

Modern Animal is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our Studio City team. You will leverage your RVT license to its fullest extent, maintain accurate medical records, and perform lab work and radiology with sound veterinary knowledge.

You’ll work closely with DVMs, communicate discharge instructions to pet owners, and thrive in an environment focused on learning, improvement, and excellence. We value work-life balance and a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Must have completed VTNE.
• RVT license in good standing.
• Strong client communication.
• Interest in surgery/anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Utilize RVT license to highest level.
• Record accurate medical records with proper terminology.
• Perform lab work as needed.
• Operate radiology with proper technique.
• Make medical calculations as needed.
• Understand veterinary pharmacology; document meds.
• Log controlled medications.
• Maintain clean and organized workspace.
• Collaborate closely with DVMs and coworkers.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Utilizing your RVT license to the highest level
• Recording accurate medical records utilizing appropriate veterinary terminology
• Completing lab work as needed
• Performing radiology with an understanding of appropriate fields
• Completing medical calculations as needed
• Understanding of veterinary pharmacology
• Logging controlled medications
• Cleaning and upkeep as needed
• Collaborating closely with DVMs and coworkers
• Communicating discharge instructions with owners
• Performing duties autonomously

The pay range for this position is $30 - $34 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
