Job summary

Modern Animal seeks a Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Glendale, CA. You will utilize an RVT license to its fullest, record medical information accurately, and perform essential lab work and radiology with veterinary terminology.

You will also manage medications, collaborate with DVMs, and educate pet owners on discharge instructions. The role emphasizes compassionate medicine, teamwork, and a culture of ongoing learning within a supportive, brand-driven environment.

Qualifications

• RVT license required or eligible in California.
• Interest in anesthesia and dentistry strongly preferred.
• Excellent client communication and teamwork.
• Ability to provide high quality veterinary care with compassion.

LOCATION: Glendale, California

What You’ll Be Working On

• Utilizing your RVT license to the highest level
• Recording accurate medical records utilizing appropriate veterinary terminology
• Completing lab work as needed
• Performing radiology with an understanding of appropriate fields
• Completing medical calculations as needed
• Understanding of veterinary pharmacology
• Logging controlled medications
• Cleaning and upkeep as needed
• Collaborating closely with DVMs and coworkers
• Communicating discharge instructions with owners
• Performing duties autonomously
• Acting as a Modern Animal brand ambassador, including implementing local marketing efforts to grow your clinic membership base as needed.
• Growing and thriving in an environment of continuous learning, improvement and excellence
• Living and modeling the Modern Animal cultural vision by encouraging work/life balance, self-compassion, and a blame- and judgement-free work environment

The pay range for this position is $30 - $34 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.

Hourly Range

$30—$34 USD
