Humane Colorado is currently hiring Registered Veterinary Technicians with compensation starting at $26.40 - $27.85 per hour (Compensation base range is $23.40 - $24.85 + $3 per hour Registered Veterinary Technician differential) to join our Veterinary Hospital team!
Humane Colorado is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team at the CSU Spur Veterinary Hospital. This unique role offers the opportunity to work in both urgent care and high-volume spay/neuter surgery, making a direct impact on the well-being of animals in our community. As part of our urgent care hospital team, RVTs provide high-quality, accessible veterinary care to underserved populations, assisting with medical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, and client education. Additionally, this position includes cross-training with our Healthy Pets team, where RVTs play a vital role in running anesthesia for high-volume spay/neuter surgeries, helping to manage pet populations and support animal welfare efforts across Colorado.

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements
Handle and restrain animals of various sizes, weights, and temperaments. Subject to animal bites or scratches. Work performed in high noise level areas. Exposure to cleaning chemicals, fumes, dust, animal dander, and feces. Exposure to radiation in association with performing radiology procedures. Physical efforts require constant bending, stooping, standing, climbing stairs, and walking. Repetitive motion associated with medical and surgical care. Frequent lifting of animals and objects up to 40 pounds with reasonable accommodation.
