Job summary

Pico Veterinary Hospital in San Clemente is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. You will collaborate with veterinarians to deliver compassionate nursing care and leverage skills in diagnostics, anesthesia, radiography, and diagnostic sampling.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of RVT experience, is licensed, and thrives in a collaborative environment that values education and client communication.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of RVT experience in a veterinary setting.
• Licensed Veterinary Technician in good standing.
• Strong patient care focus and client communication skills.
• Ability to educate clients and collaborate with veterinarians.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and direct patient advocacy under supervision.
• Perform diagnostic sampling, venipuncture, catheter placement, and anesthesia support.
• Operate radiography equipment and assist with dental radiography.
• Support doctors in procedures and educate clients about care needs.

As a Registered Veterinary Technician at our hospital, you'll have the chance to fully utilize your expertise, collaborate closely with our veterinarians, and elevate our medical standards. You'll serve as a vital patient advocate, delivering compassionate nursing care that encompasses a diverse range of your technical skills including diagnostic sample collection, catheter placement, venipuncture, radiography, anesthesia and pain management, dental radiology, prophylactic cleanings, and simple extractions.
