VCA A Breed Apart is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our AAHA-accredited, 5-doctor practice in Pasadena, California.
Position available for a full time, experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Responsibilities require proficiency in Phlebotomy, IV Catheter Placement as well as stress free handling, digital radiography, administration of vaccines and medications. The ideal candidate will also possess great attendance, client communication skills, superior customer service skills, attention to detail, and a desire to work in a great team atmosphere. Salary will be based on the level of experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Venipuncture
- Catheter placement
- Radiology
- Physical examinations, patient assessment, and record keeping
- Surgical preparation and assisting
- Dentistry
- Laboratory work
- Pharmacy
- Patient recovery
- Compassionate care for hospitalized patients
- Client Relations
- Housekeeping/Maintenance
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience
- Animal Handling
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Dentistry (Preferred but not required)
- Capable of being cross-trained for front office receptionist duties that will be expected in the job
- Must be friendly, outgoing, “People oriented”
- Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Customer service skills including Phone skills
- Working knowledge of computers
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments

Compensation:
$ 25 - $ 30 / hr. Dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities.
