CASE, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, seeks an Overnight Veterinary Technician to support the Emergency/ICU team in Boulder, CO. You will provide triage, nursing, and monitoring for critical patients under supervision of specialists and doctors.

Ideal candidates have Colorado CVT/LVT/RVT/PVT certification and 2+ years in emergency care, with strong communication and multitasking skills. This role offers a full-time schedule with night shifts and a competitive hourly rate plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be CVT, LVT, RVT, or PVT certified in Colorado.
• Two years in emergency/critical care preferred.
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) required.
• On-Call: one shift every 4 weeks after training.

Responsibilities

• Triage and manage emergency calls and walk-ins, conduct patient assessments, and provide comprehensive nursing care.
• Perform venipuncture, place catheters, and assist with airway management and emergency procedures.
• Process and evaluate lab specimens, run CBCs, coagulation tests, and urinalysis.
• Engage with pet owners, provide discharge instructions, and support clients with empathetic communication.
• Maintain ICU supplies, keep a clean workspace, and assist with reception tasks as needed.

As Colorado Animal Specialty & Emergency (CASE) continues to grow and expand its emergency and specialty services, we are adding to our support team and seeking Overnight ER/ICU Veterinary Technicians to help ensure our patients receive safe, effective care and that our clinicians have the support they need to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Compensation

Job Description

As an Overnight Veterinary Technician in our Emergency/ICU department, you will play a crucial role in the care and treatment of critically ill and emergency patients. Under the supervision of specialists, emergency doctors, and department leads, you will provide essential triage, nursing, and monitoring, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality care throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

• Medical Procedures : Perform venipuncture, place catheters, and execute emergency procedures such as airway management and oxygen administration.
• Laboratory Work : Process and evaluate lab specimens, run CBCs, coagulation tests, and handle urinalysis.
• Client Communication : Engage with pet owners, provide discharge instructions, and support clients with empathetic communication.
• General Duties : Maintain and stock ICU supplies, ensure a clean and organized work environment, and handle reception tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be CVT, LVT, RVT, or PVT certified in Colorado.
• Experience : Two years in emergency/critical care preferred.
• Skills : Strong technical and communication skills, ability to work independently, strong technical skills in veterinary procedures, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• On-Call Requirement: One shift every 4 weeks after training completion.
• Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
