Job summary

Veritas Veterinary Partners is seeking a highly skilled Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician in Wheat Ridge, CO. You will support internists and clients, communicating diagnostic results and guiding patient management.

The role involves coordinating a wide range of diagnostic tasks, assisting with procedures, and pursuing advanced interventional radiology training as you grow professionally.

Qualifications

  • Experience working as a Registered Veterinary Technician.
  • Experience with anesthesia.
  • Endoscopy experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of disease processes and common ailments.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate with various departments.
  • Providing empathy, comfort, and unparalleled nursing care to all patients and their owners

Responsibilities

  • Assist with client communication—sharing diagnostic results and discussing procedures as directed by the Internist.
  • Support outstanding patient and client care as a direct extension of our Internists.
  • Coordinate and assist with a wide range of diagnostic and procedural tasks.
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures such as bone marrow sampling, joint taps, feeding tube placements.
  • Opportunity to train in advanced interventional radiology procedures (e.g., laser ablation of ectopic ureters, lithotripsy).

Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated technician who excels in both communication and leadership. In this role, you will act as a direct extension of our Internists, working collaboratively to support outstanding patient and client care. You will play an active part in client communication—sharing diagnostic results, discussing procedures as directed by the Internist, and helping guide both short‑and long‑term patient management.

This position also involves coordinating and assisting with a wide range of diagnostic and procedural tasks. An ideal candidate brings a foundational understanding of common Internal Medicine conditions and a strong passion for continued learning and professional growth.

You will assist with diagnostic procedures such as (but not limited to):

  • Bone marrow sampling
  • Joint taps
  • Feeding tube placements

As you develop proficiency, you will also have opportunities for training in advanced interventional radiology procedures, such as:

  • Laser ablation of ectopic ureters
  • Lithotripsy

Schedule
  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • To be scheduled sometime between Monday through Saturday
  • $24.00 – $29.00 / hour based on experience
