Qualifications

• Active RVT certification is required.
• Experience with animal restraint and handling.
• Working knowledge of disease states and patient condition monitoring.
• Familiarity with DEA and OSHA safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely restrain and handle animals.
• Explain care instructions to clients and provide updates.
• Perform lab work, radiographs, IV catheter placement, and injections.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medications.
• Keep exam rooms and equipment clean and stocked.
• Uphold hospital, DEA, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
