Job summary

Purrfurably Cats, a feline‑only practice in Monterey, CA, seeks an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to support surgery, anesthesia and dental procedures. You will work autonomously within a collaborative team dedicated to cats, with emphasis on safety and high‑quality patient care.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of RVT experience, California registration and strong skills in anesthesia, dental prophylaxis, radiography, and client communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good‑standing Registered Veterinary Technician in CA.
• Proficiency in anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery.
• Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography experience.
• Strong client communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical and dental schedules.
• Prepare and calculate anesthetic medications and dosages.
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
• Assist veterinarians during surgery.
• Perform dental prophylaxis and radiography.
• Monitor recovery and care post‑procedure.
• Guide clients through admission and discharge with compassion.
