Job Description :
Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for a Registered Veterinary Technician Adjunct Instructor (Evening). The instructor will be responsible for training and development of program components, course outlines, and classroom plans.
Minimum Requirements :
- Must have at least two years of working experience as an RVT and graduated from an AVMA accredited program.
Common Essential Job Functions for All ACD Instructors :
- Demonstrate procedures / processes and operate appropriate equipment as designated by the curriculum.
- Instruct students in a competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies to ensure high-quality classroom instruction.
- Manage the classroom effectively to create an optimal learning environment.
- Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress, and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
- Ensure syllabus, supply list, and lesson plans are current prior to each class.
- Demonstrate effective communication, professionalism, and people skills (e.g., prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual).
- Understand and commit to the mission and goals of Metro Tech's ACD program.
- Participate in professional development as required by the ACD department.
- Instruct and guide students in classroom and lab environments, following AVMA / CVTEA curriculum and skills list.
- Participate in or coordinate program-related activities on or off campus.
- Grade and evaluate student work promptly, providing constructive feedback.
