Job Description :

Metro Technology Centers is accepting applications for a Registered Veterinary Technician Adjunct Instructor (Evening). The instructor will be responsible for training and development of program components, course outlines, and classroom plans.

Minimum Requirements :
  • Must have at least two years of working experience as an RVT and graduated from an AVMA accredited program.
Common Essential Job Functions for All ACD Instructors :
  1. Demonstrate procedures / processes and operate appropriate equipment as designated by the curriculum.
  2. Instruct students in a competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies to ensure high-quality classroom instruction.
  3. Manage the classroom effectively to create an optimal learning environment.
  4. Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress, and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies.
  5. Ensure syllabus, supply list, and lesson plans are current prior to each class.
  6. Demonstrate effective communication, professionalism, and people skills (e.g., prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual).
  7. Understand and commit to the mission and goals of Metro Tech's ACD program.
  8. Participate in professional development as required by the ACD department.
  9. Instruct and guide students in classroom and lab environments, following AVMA / CVTEA curriculum and skills list.
  10. Participate in or coordinate program-related activities on or off campus.
  11. Grade and evaluate student work promptly, providing constructive feedback.
