Job summary

Animal Clinic of Woodland Park in Woodland Park, CO, is hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The RVT will provide nursing care in a busy clinic, support veterinarians, and ensure compassionate patient handling.

The position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus, license reimbursement, and an annual $1,000 continuing education allowance. Shifts are 4/10-hour, with some Saturday coverage required, at 801 US-24, Woodland Park, CO 80863.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary clinical experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Colorado, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
• Passion for working with small animals, birds, exotics, and their owners.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species.
• Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or outdoor setting.
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Dental procedures experience (scaling, polishing, extractions, suturing).
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation and post-operative care.
• Laboratory skills including cytology setup and interpretation.
• Radiology and ultrasound experience including cystocentesis.

We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team at Animal Clinic of Woodland Park in Woodland Park, Colorado.

• Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location
• Additional benefits: Sign-on bonus of $2500, License reimbursement, Continuing Education allowance of $1000 per year

Who You Are:

• 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
• Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) in Colorado, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire required
• Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
• Passion for working with small animals, birds, exotics, and their owners
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint for a variety of species
• Ability to perform nursing care in a hospital or outdoor setting
• Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
• Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
• Dental procedure experience, scaling, polishing, extractions, suturing
• Skilled in IV Catheter placement, urinary catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
• Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
• Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
• Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
• And all other duties of a Registered Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
