West Denver Veterinary Hospital & Wellness invites a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our compassionate, community-focused team in Wheat Ridge, CO. We emphasize prevention, diagnosis, and advanced care across a full-service spectrum, from wellness visits to urgent care.

Join a stable, patient-centered practice with predictable hours (M-F 7:00 AM–6:00 PM and alternating Saturdays). Enjoy a $5,000 sign-on bonus and opportunities for growth within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVT license or ability to transfer credentials between states.
• Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology.
• Ability to perform common lab tests and clinical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Obtain medical histories and educate clients.
• Perform lab procedures (hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, chemistry, fecals).
• Conduct diagnostic imaging and ensure safety protocols for staff.
• Provide nursing care: restraining patients, administer meds (PO/IV/SUBQ/IM), bandage care, IV placement, venipuncture, surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring.
• Proficient in dental prophylaxis and routine dental care.

This diverse caseload ensures that you will constantly expand your skill set and remain engaged in complex medical decision‑making. Position Skills:

• Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms
• Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals
• Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for fellow staff members
• Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anaesthesia monitoring
• Proficient in dental prophylaxis

Position Requirements:

• Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
