Job summary

Mission Pet Health in Westminster, CO is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our Urgent Care team. You will triage, monitor patients, assist with stabilization, and provide high-quality care under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian.

  • Be a Lifeline for Patients in Crisis: you'll be on the front lines, triage, stabilization, patient monitoring, and critical care under veterinarian supervision.
  • Provide Clarity in Critical Moments: explain treatments, review discharge instructions, and reassure pet owners during stressful times.

We also meet the immediate needs of our clients by operating Urgent Care services Sunday through Wednesday from 9am to 9pm, ensuring continuity of medical support for critical cases. Orchard Veterinary Medical Center is situated conveniently in Westminster, CO, making it an accessible and central location for both our clientele and our teammates. Your Impact as an Urgent Care Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Note: The Credentailed Veterinary Technician title is used in various states based on state-specific licensing and credentialing requirements. Responsibilities may vary depending on the hospital and/or state and will be outlined by the state’s Veterinary Practice Act and/or the responsible veterinarian, where applicable.

  • Ensure Seamless Care: Your clear and accurate record-keeping in a fast-paced environment will be crucial for patient handoffs, case management, and effective team communication.
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • A calm, efficient, and decisive approach, especially during medical emergencies.
  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program and a current state license in good standing.
  • Proficiency in a range of technical skills, with a strong aptitude for emergency procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care nursing.
  • Confidence in handling animals of all temperaments and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively under pressure.
  • One year of experience in a veterinary setting is preferred; urgent care or emergency experience is a plus!
