Job summary

Greenbriar Veterinary Hospital in Frederick, MD is seeking a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join the Thrive Pet Healthcare family. You’ll provide end-to-end care for our patients, from outpatient treatments and laboratory testing to admitting and discharging patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care).
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) required.
• Strong anesthesia skills with BP, ECG, SpO2 and end-tidal CO2 monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end care for patients, including outpatient treatments and lab tests.
• Assist in admitting and discharging patients and coordinating care.

Greenbriar Veterinary Hospital is looking for a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Frederick, MD.

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) Required
• Superior/advanced technical skills
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
• Posesses a positive work attitude
• Self-motivated
• Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $28 - $30 / hour.

The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
