This opportunity is for a supportive, high-skill veterinary team focused on delivering excellent patient care and client service.

Position

• Registered Veterinary Technician (Full-Time)

Hospital Hours

Monday – Friday 7:30am–5:30pm, Saturdays 7:30am–1:00pm (Rotating)

Compensation

$25 – $30/hour (commensurate with experience)

Experience Required

Minimum 1 year in an animal hospital setting

Job Description: Veterinary Assistant (Part-Time)

Are you a Veterinary Assistant looking to join a fun, experienced, and compassionate team? Glade Valley Animal Hospital is a multi-doctor AAHA-accredited practice committed to delivering high-quality care and client service.

What You’ll Do

• Educate clients on preventive care and treatment plans
• Collect samples and prepare vaccinations
• Support sick visits and triage cases
• Contribute to a warm, positive, client-focused culture

What You’ll Bring

• 1+ year of experience in an animal hospital
• Familiarity with vaccine protocols, medical terminology, and preventive care
• Proficiency in venipuncture and patient handling
• Curiosity and willingness to learn
• Strong communication skills and a desire to bond with clients
• Surgical capabilities include soft tissue procedures, traveling orthopedic surgeon collaboration, and routine dentistry (2 dentals/day)

Your Impact as a Credentialed Veterinary Technician

Note: Credentialed Veterinary Technician title varies by state licensing and credentialing. Responsibilities may vary by hospital/state and will be outlined by the veterinarian.

• Utilize your full skillset: provide comprehensive patient care, administer treatments, monitor anesthesia, and perform lab work
• Lead and mentor the medical team to ensure efficient workflow and staff development
• Partner with clients: educate on treatments, review medical records, and answer questions
• Contribute to a positive hospital culture through training and maintaining high standards

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program
• Current state veterinary technician license in good standing
• Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures
• Calm, efficient approach in fast-paced settings
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• One year of veterinary industry experience preferred
