Position Details

Full‑time Registered Veterinary Technician

  • Hourly wage: $20 – $25
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Utilize technical skills in exam rooms and surgeries
  • Collect patient histories and provide client education on vaccine protocols
  • Perform in‑house laboratory work (Idexx Procyte, Catalyst One, Snap Pro)
  • Monitor anesthesia and support surgical procedures
  • Practice and guide safe restraint techniques
  • Assist with urgent care and hospitalized patient treatments
  • Support soft tissue surgeries, dental procedures, ultrasound, digital X‑rays, and related tasks
What We’re Looking For
  • Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential in Maryland
  • Proficiency in handling animals and working in exam rooms
  • Experience with preventatives, laboratory equipment, anesthesia monitoring, and patient care
  • Experience in surgical and anesthetic procedures
  • Familiarity with EzyVet software is a plus

Our team consists of five veterinarians and a diverse group of veterinary professionals who collaborate closely, share responsibilities, and support one another in a respectful, team‑centric environment.

Schedule & Perks
  • Full‑time hours
  • Rotating Saturdays
  • Late‑night rotation (12–8 pm) for urgent care support
  • Sunday shift every four months
  • Opportunity to work a variety of cases, including urgent and emergency

  • Serve as a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and answering questions.
  • Contribute to a positive culture by training, providing feedback, and maintaining high standards.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technician program.
  • Current state veterinary technician license in good standing.
  • Proficiency in nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
  • A calm, efficient approach, especially in fast‑paced or stressful situations.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for collaborative teamwork.
  • Preferred: One year of experience in the veterinary industry.
