Job summary

VCA Elk Grove Animal Hospital in Elk Grove, CA is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our 4-doctor GP practice. Compensation ranges from $20 to $32 per hour.

The hospital has served the community for over 50 years and emphasizes a family-like culture and teamwork. The role includes physical exams, anesthesia monitoring, surgical and dentistry support, radiology, lab work, venipuncture, catheter placement, pharmacy duties and patient recovery.

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician credentials (CVT/RVT/LVT) required or pursued.
• Strong client communication and compassionate animal care focus.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented GP practice with a supportive culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and patient assessment.
• Monitor anesthesia during procedures and assist doctors.
• Prepare for and assist with surgeries and dentistry.
• Radiology, laboratory work, and nursing duties.
• Venipuncture, catheter placement, and pharmacy tasks.
• Support patient recovery and provide compassionate care.

VCA Elk Grove Animal Hospital in Elk Grove, CA is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our one-of-a-kind 4-doctor GP practice!

Compensation : $ 20 - $ 32 / hour

Our hospital has been serving our local community for over 50 years and many of our employees have worked here for 15-35 years! We love to support Elk Grove Animal Services by helping with their events and vaccine clinics as well as providing medical care to the sheltered animals as needed. We are AHAA and Fear Free accredited and believe in a teamwork approach to providing the best care possible for our patients. When we aren't working hard at the hospital, staff can be found at Rivercats' baseball games, paint nights, and solving mystery room adventures together.

Location: 8640 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95624

Schedule: M-Saturday- varying shifts (5 eight hour shifts)
