Job summary

Wellshire Animal Hospital in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. You will support outpatient care and procedural services including surgery and dentistry while maintaining compassionate client communication and patient care.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of RVT experience, Colorado licensure in good standing, and the ability to work in a dynamic general practice with a 410 schedule and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado RVT in good standing required.
  • Minimum 3 years veterinary technician experience.
  • Strong client communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to support anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Support exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
  • Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
  • Assist in surgery and dental procedures including radiography.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
  • Educate clients on treatment plans and post-visit care.
  • Ensure low-stress handling and patient safety.

Job description

Wellshire Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician RVT to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services including surgery and dentistry We are seeking a versatile client focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment balancing exam room care client communication and hands on procedural support We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge judgment and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital helping elevate the quality of medicine client experience and patient care In this position you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows contributing to a consistent high standard of care throughout the patient visit

Responsibilities
  • Supporting efficient exam room outpatient surgical and dental workflows
  • Performing anesthesia induction monitoring and recovery
  • Assisting in surgery
  • Performing dental procedures including prophylaxis and radiography
  • Maintaining accurate detailed medical records and treatment documentation
  • Reviewing treatment plans medications and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital
  • Building strong client relationships through education communication and attentive service
Schedule and compensation

Compensation 25 30 per hour for each hour worked This is a full time position with a 410 schedule and availability needed Monday Friday with a rotating Saturday Full time

Minimum qualifications and skill set
  • 3 years of veterinary technician experience
  • Active and good standing Registered Veterinary Technician RVT in the state of Colorado
Proficiency in the following skills
  • Anesthetic induction monitoring and recovery
  • Surgical assistance and aseptic technique
  • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography
  • Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement
  • Radiology positioning and safety protocols
  • Medication administration and accurate drug calculations
  • Laboratory sample collection and in house diagnostic testing
  • Safe low stress patient handling and restraint techniques
  • Client education and communication
  • Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure or out of state license holders who are eligible to transfer a license are also encouraged to apply
