Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our orthopedic and sports medicine team in Annapolis Junction, MD. You will support advanced orthopedic, sports medicine and rehabilitation cases, provide skilled nursing care, and advocate for patients and clients throughout treatment.

You’ll grow through ThriveU CE, virtual workshops, and leadership programs, with a path to move within Thrive’s nationwide network of hospitals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician.
  • CVT/RVT/LVT active and current is required.
  • Strong interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and mobility-focused patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with orthopedic, sports medicine, and rehabilitation cases.
  • Provide skilled nursing care and client education throughout the treatment journey.
  • Support diagnostic procedures, anesthesia, and patient advocacy during care.

Veterinary Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Group is looking for a Full-Time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our advanced orthopedic and sports medicine team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Annapolis Junction, MD

About You

You’ll play an important role in helping patients regain mobility, recover from injury, and return to the activities they love. Your impact will span every stage of care, from supporting advanced orthopedic, sports medicine and rehabilitation cases to providing skilled nursing care, client education, diagnostic support and exceptional patient advocacy throughout the treatment journey.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) Required
  • Superior/advanced technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring and patient nursing care
  • Previous experience in a veterinary specialty surgical, emergency, rehabilitation or advanced general practice medicine preferred
  • Has strong interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, rehabilitation, and mobility-focused patient care
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self-motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Compensation is negotiable based on experience and credentials, with an expected starting range of $30 – $34 / hour. The actual compensation will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
