Annapolis Cat Practice/ Bay Ridge Animal Hospital in Annapolis, MD is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to provide skilled care for our patients and exceptional service to clients.

The role offers a long-shift schedule with three to four 10-hour days per week and rotating Saturday mornings, competitive hourly pay ($22–$27) based on experience, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification in Maryland.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates
• Perform lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Job description

Salary: $22-$27 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: This is a full-time position with three to four 10-hour shifts per weekday and rotating Saturday mornings. Two early shifts (8:00 AM–6:00 PM) and two late shifts (10:00 AM–8:00 PM). Occasional shifts from 8 am to 8 pm.
