Job summary

Anderson Veterinary Clinic in Anderson, CA is seeking a Veterinary Technician for a full-time position. The role involves end-to-end care for patients, assistance with surgeries and treatments, and accurate medical record-keeping to support high-quality veterinary services.

The ideal candidate holds a California RVT license, has at least 1 year of hospital experience, and can communicate compassionately with clients while working well in a team.

Qualifications

  • 1+ year of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting.
  • Current California Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license required.
  • Working knowledge of veterinary terminology and common clinical procedures.
  • Ability to safely handle, lift, and restrain a variety of animal species.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture, radiology, IV catheter placement, drug calculations, and medication/fluid administration.
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort working with computers and practice software.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with veterinarians to provide excellent medical care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • Assist with surgeries, procedures, and treatments in alignment with RVT credentialed duties.
  • Support smooth patient flow and enhance team efficiency through proactive communication.
  • Guide clients through individualized health concerns, treatment plans, medications, and Thrive Membership benefits.
  • Maintain accurate, thorough medical records.
  • Obtain detailed patient histories and document findings.
  • Ensure safety and organization through proper restraint and maintain a clean, sterile workspace.
  • Mentor and support teammates to help build a collaborative, uplifting environment.

Full-time

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with a n hourly pay rate starting at $24-28/ hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location

Schedule

Full-time (40 hours/week), 5 days/week, with some Saturdays.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Personable and collaborative, with a strong team-first mindset and high emotional intelligence
