Job description

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Maternity cover

Orchard Vets are recruiting for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team at the end of October on a Maternity Cover basis.

This role is based at our Orchard Vets practice and is a 40 hours per week, including 1:4 Saturdays and no Bank Holidays.

Salary Up to £30,000, dependent on experience, plus benefits.

The practice has recently been refurbished and boasts a strong nursing team alongside two experienced vets. We are a well-established, friendly, small animal veterinary practice based in Sherwood, Nottinghamshire. We are RCVS-accredited, awarded Outstanding in Client Service and are a Gold-accredited cat-friendly practice.

Orchard Vets are part of our leading Veterinary Group, CVS. We aim to provide the best clinical care as well as a great place to work. Our Veterinary Surgeons are given the freedom to make the best clinical decisions for their patients whilst sharing best practice, and are backed by a strong nursing team, which the successful Registered Veterinary Nurse will become a part of.

Role overview: you will be part of a team that oversees both routine and emergency critical care in our hospital premises. Operations will vary from cat castrates to TPLOs and fracture repairs. Our inpatients are cared for to a gold standard level, regularly using feeding tubes, CRIs and nursing care plans.

As a valued Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality nursing care to a diverse range of patients. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and contributing to the efficient running of the practice through teamwork and clear communication with clients.
