The Registered Vascular Tech is responsible for performing vascular studies on patients that support treatment and diagnosis of vascular disease. To perform and report on Non-Invasive Vascular studies using a variety of specialized equipment. Must demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors, and other employees regardless of cultural background.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Graduate of an accredited (or accreditation eligible) cardiovascular ultrasound degree program and/or qualifying experience in accordance with IAC guidelines.
Registered in non-invasive imaging with active status registry from ARDMS or CCI. New graduates will have 1 year after graduating to obtain registry.
Specialized Knowledge:
Excellent understanding of Vascular Hemodynamics. Skilled use of vascular testing equipment. Experience with Color Flow Vascular Imaging. Ability to give preliminary interpretations.
