Job summary

Unity Healthcare, LLC in Lafayette, IN is seeking a part-time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our ultrasound team. You will perform high-quality ultrasound studies, maintain imaging equipment, and ensure accurate data is available for interpretation.

Requirements include RDMS certification, RVT within 12 months, a certificate or associate degree, and at least one year of ultrasound and vascular experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate or associate’s degree required.
• RDMS certification required.
• RVT certification must be obtained within 12 months of employment.
• 1 year ultrasound experience preferred.
• 1 year vascular experience preferred.
• Part-time position, Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality diagnostic ultrasound images for interpretation.
• Prepare and maintain diagnostic imaging equipment and supplies.
• Implement safety standards and perform QC procedures.
• Demonstrate clinical excellence and communicate critical findings.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and patient data to PACS.
• Assist in maintaining clean, orderly procedure rooms and storage areas.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality images for interpretation through diagnostic imaging using ultrasound and Parks Flo-Lab
• Prepare and maintain diagnostic equipment and supplies.
• Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures.
• Demonstrate clinical excellence.
• Communicate critical findings to Providers and/or notate any significant barriers that could affect ability to accurate interpret images.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality and patient data/history).
• Assist in maintaining clean, orderly procedure rooms and storage areas.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

Requirements & Skills

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date.
• Certificate or associate’s degree Required
• 1 year Ultrasound experience Preferred
• 1-year Vascular experience Preferred
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) – Required
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) –Obtain within one year of employment
• Part -Time
• Monday-Friday
