Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Vascular Sonographer to perform comprehensive vascular ultrasound exams with emphasis on the lower extremities. The role requires travel to Bethpage, Stony Brook, and Valley Stream clinics as part of a float position, with a full-time schedule including weekends.

Ideal candidates hold an accredited vascular ultrasound program credential and certification or eligibility within 90 days, and bring experience in venous mapping and duplex studies to ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Ultrasound program.
• Current RVT/RVS/RPhS credential or eligible to obtain certification within 90 days.
• Experience with venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex studies preferred.
• Ability to independently perform vascular ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality images.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies including venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex examinations.
• Conduct additional vascular imaging studies such as carotid, arterial duplex, ABI, DVT, and PVR testing.
• Independently perform and document ultrasound examinations while maintaining accuracy and quality standards.
• Support patient care within a vein clinic, vascular laboratory, or related vascular imaging environment.
• Utilize PACS and EMR systems to document studies and support clinical workflow.
• Apply broad sonography knowledge including OB/GYN and abdominal modalities.

Position Summary

As a Vascular Sonographer at USA Clinics Group, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality ultrasound examinations focused on the vascular system. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough vascular ultrasound assessments on patients, specifically targeting the lower extremities, while ensuring an exceptional patient experience throughout the process.

Position Details

Location: This is a float Ultrasound position, required to commute to Bethpage, Stony Brook and Valley Stream clinics.

Schedule: Full-time. Open schedule availability and able to work on weekends is required.

Compensation: $40-$45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound studies including venous insufficiency, venous reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex examinations
• Perform additional vascular imaging studies if applicable such as carotid, arterial duplex, ABI, DVT, and PVR testing
• Independently perform and document ultrasound examinations while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
• Support patient care within a vein clinic, vascular laboratory, or related vascular imaging environment
• Utilize PACS and EMR systems to document studies, manage images, and support clinical workflow
• Apply broad sonography knowledge when appropriate, including experience with general ultrasound modalities such as OB/GYN and abdominal

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Ultrasound program, required
• Current RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist), RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist), or RPhS (Registered Phlebology Sonographer) credential, or eligibility to obtain certification within 90 days is required
• Demonstrated experience performing venous insufficiency, reflux, venous mapping, and venous duplex studies is preferred
• Ability to independently perform vascular ultrasound examinations and produce high-quality diagnostic images, requiredStrong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a patient-focused healthcare environment, required
