**Registered Vascular Technician – Vascular Surgery Specialists Clinic – Full-Time, Days** **_Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_** **Work location:** 1325 Pennsylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX 76104 **Work hours:** Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm **Vascular Surgery Specialists** **Clinic Highlights:**

**Here’s What You Need**

+ **Associates Degree Related field (preferred)**

+ **Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred)**

+ **RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required)** **_or_**

+ **RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required)**

+ **1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required)**

+ Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases

+ Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature

+ Have excellent communication skills

+ Have good computer skills

+ Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

**What You Will Do**

+ Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process

+ Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient.

+ Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols.

+ Produces two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings and Doppler flow analyses of vascular structures, using ultrasound equipment by following ICAVL guidelines, for interpretation by physicians.

+ Calculates, measures, and documents appropriate values on the tests performed for review and interpretation by physicians.

+ Reviews test results with interpreting physician.

+ Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while in the clinic.

+ Performs other duties as assigned.
