**Registered Vascular Technician – Heart & Vascular Specialists Clinic – Full-Time, Days** **_Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_** **Work location:** 1005 West Ralph Hall Parkway, Rockwall, TX 75032 **Work hours:** Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm **Travel:** 50% to surrounding clinics as needed ( _mileage reimbursement provided_ ) **Heart & Vascular Specialists** **Clinic Highlights:**

**Here’s What You Need**
+ **Associates Degree Related field (preferred)**
+ **Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred)**
+ **1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required)** **_and_**
+ **RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required)** **_or_**
+ **RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required)**
+ **Minimum 1 year experience with abi's, cerebral, abdominal, upper/lower peripheral venous and arterial imaging (strongly preferred)**
+ **Experience with US guided RFA's (preferred).**
+ **BLS certification (strongly preferred)**
+ **Reliable transportation required**
+ Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases
+ Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature
+ Have excellent communication skills
+ Have good computer skills
+ Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
**What You Will Do**
+ Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process to include:
+ Will perform diagnostic bilateral/ unilateral carotid, arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines.
+ Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols.
+ Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedures.
+ Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database.
+ Reviews test results with interpreting physician.
+ Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation.
+ Prepares and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment, and order supplies when necessary.
