Job summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Vascular Sonographer for a 13-week contract in Katy, Texas. The on-site role requires 4+ years of experience, obstetric and vascular imaging expertise, and a commitment to high-quality diagnostic imaging.

You will perform ultrasound procedures, prepare patients, mentor staff, ensure QA, and collaborate with physicians to maintain workflow in a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology or sonography program.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in fetal ultrasound and fetal heart monitoring.
• Background in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM).
• OB/GYN knowledge.
• Vascular credentials: ARRT-VS or RVT or RVS.
• Additional credentials: ARRT-S, RDMS, RDCS, RCIS, RCS, RCCS.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound and sonography procedures with high technical quality.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and assist with positioning.
• Select imaging techniques per orders and patient needs.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and support daily operations.
• Enter and monitor patient information and history.
• Review incomplete examinations and unsigned reports for follow-through.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on ultrasound equipment.
• Assist with equipment improvements and accreditation requirements.
• Mentor fellow technologists and less experienced staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and department staff to ensure excellent patient care.

Protouch Staffing is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Registered Vascular Sonographer for an exciting 13-week contract opportunity in Katy, Texas! Position Highlights

• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Work Setting: On-site
• Uniform: Navy Scrubs

What You’ll Do

• Perform ultrasound and sonography procedures while ensuring the technical quality and accuracy of diagnostic images.
• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and assist with proper positioning.
• Select appropriate imaging techniques based on physician orders and patient needs.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and support daily imaging department operations.
• Enter and monitor patient information and relevant medical history.
• Review incomplete examinations and unsigned reports to ensure timely follow-through.
• Perform quality assurance checks on ultrasound equipment and identify potential malfunctions.
• Assist with equipment improvements and accreditation requirements.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to fellow technologists and less experienced staff.
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and department support personnel to ensure excellent patient care.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or Sonography Technology.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in fetal ultrasound and fetal heart monitoring.
• Background in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM).
• Knowledge of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
• Must hold one of the following vascular credentials:
• Registered Vascular Sonographer (ARRT-VS)
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT - ARDMS)
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS - CCI)
• Must also hold at least one of the following additional credentials:
• Registered Sonographer (ARRT-S)
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS - ARDMS)
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS - ARDMS)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS - CCI)
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS - CCI)
• Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS - CCI)

Preferred Skills

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are a plus.
