Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. in Tulsa, OK seeks a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist. This full-time night position runs 7pm–7am, with Wednesday–Friday shifts and rotating Saturdays, plus a $15,000 sign-on bonus under a two-year work agreement.

Required are graduation from an accredited Technical Ultrasound Program and ARDMS or ARRT registration/certification. At least 6 months related experience is preferred; responsibilities include performing ultrasound procedures, patient handling, image

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures with equipment.
• Position, transfer and immobilize patients as needed.
• Adjust machine parameters to obtain diagnostic images per procedures.
• Assist in equipment calibration to maintain standards.
• Disinfect probes and maintain sterile technique; perform quality control tasks.

Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner.Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Accurately performs a variety of technical procedures efficiently utilizing ultrasonic machinery for the diagnosis of disease. Positions, transfers and immobilizes patients, as necessary to perform diagnostic procedures. Adjusts machinery and ancillary equipment parameters in accordance with prescribed procedures to obtain diagnostic medical/legal ultrasound images. Assists in equipment calibration to maintain department standards. Understands and performs high level probe disinfection. Schedules exams and maintains department records. Assists in quality control programs for the maintenance of prescribed standards. Assists in quality control programs for the maintenance of prescribed standards.Decision Making: Independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field.Working Relationships: Works directly with patients and/or customers.
