Temple-Health Chestnut Hill Hospital is seeking a Registered Ultrasound Sonographer I to perform ultrasound procedures in the Radiology department, with a pool/shifts including on-call responsibilities. You will obtain diagnostic information and provide patient education, ensuring quality care across the spectrum of sonography.

The role requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent, completion of a 2-year AMA-approved ultrasound program, Basic Life Support, and certification as a Registered

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Non-degree program graduate of a 2-year AMA-approved ultrasound program required.
• Basic Life Support required; Registered Diag Medical Sonographer required.

The sonographer performs Ultrasound procedures according to established protocol to obtain diagnostic information as ordered by a licensed physician or their designated health care provider. The Sonographer provides information to the patient about the purpose of the ultrasound procedure and responds to the patient's questions and concerns. The Sonographer recognizes the patient's individuality and provides quality care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminatory manner using professional and ethical judgment. The diagnostic medical sonographer maintains continued competence through lifelong learning, which includes continuing education, acquisition of specialty specific credentials, and recredentialing. The diagnostic sonographer working in the department of Radiology is required to perform diverse imaging across the spectrum of sonography.
