Job summary

DW McMillan Memorial Hospital is seeking a Full Time Registered Technologist-Mammography to perform radiographic imaging for routine and diagnostic procedures. The role requires ARRT program completion with good standing or eligible, and BLS certification.

In addition, advanced registry or at least one year of experience is expected. You will prepare rooms, manage equipment and supplies, and adhere to MQSA standards while applying ALARA principles to minimize exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT program with good standing; or eligible.
• BLS certification.
• Advanced registry or minimum one-year experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and process images for routine and diagnostic procedures as approved by the radiologist.
• Prepare the room and maintain all supplies, equipment and documents required for procedures.
• Perform QC testing of machine. Experience with stereotactic procedures and familiar with MQSA.
• Utilize ALARA techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
• Provide/communicate patient information to the Radiologist.
• Maintain continued education as required for ARRT registries.
• Subject to overtime when necessary.
• All other duties/skills and qualifications will be discussed at time of interview.

Scheduled shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm

• Advanced registry or minimum one-year experience.
