Job summary

Carilion Clinic’s Vascular Lab in Roanoke, VA is hiring a vascular sonography professional to perform noninvasive studies and assist in interpreting exams. The role supports diverse vascular modalities in a premier Level 1 Trauma Center, with opportunities for CME, tuition reimbursement and retirement benefits.

Candidates should have RVT/ARDMS or RVS certification, CPR, and a willingness to train others. On-site shift schedule is day-time with rotating on-call and holiday on-call

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.
• CPR certification required.
• RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) in Vascular Sonography required.
• Interpersonal, technical skills and flexibility in assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations and provide preliminary results.
• Assess data and assist in interpretation of exams.
• Cover visceral arterial/venous, cerebrovascular, peripheral venous and arterial exams.
• Support vascular surgery intra-, pre- and post-operative evaluations.
• Train students and staff as assigned.

Licensure, certification, and/or registration RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) in Vascular Sonography. ARDMS or CCI. CPR certification required.* Assesses patients for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after treatment according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.* Operates highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).* Trains students and staff as assigned.* Creates a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families.* Assesses data reflective of the patient status. Interprets information needed to identify each patients requirement and/or specific needs, and provides care per applicable policy and procedures.* Interacts with patients, families, visitors and all members of the healthcare team to develop, coordinate and manage the plan of care.# **What We Require:****Education:** High school graduate or equivalent.
