GENERAL SUMMARY:

Shift: PRN, hours and shift will vary dependent on department needs.

Perform diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structures, providing quality images for interpretation. Responsibilities include setting up and adjusting equipment, manually maneuvering transducers, implementing safety standards, performing routine and complex studies, recognizing significant structures and artifacts, ensuring equipment functionality, submitting high-quality images to PACS, and maintaining a clean and compliant department environment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical certificate/degree.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire or transfer (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• One or more of the following certifications obtained prior to hire: Cardiographic Tech (CCI), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography (ARRT), or Medical Sonographer (ARDMS).
