Join Southwoods Health as a Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorder Specialist (SDS).

Job Overview

Southwoods Health is hiring a RST, RPSGT, or SDS to work in our sleep clinic. The role involves providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, including sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, patient care, and education. The technologist will perform duties as defined for a sleep technician and oversee other sleep center staff. Credentialing in sleep technology is required.

Essential Duties
  • Participate as a team member to support patient outcomes and experiences
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Engage in continuing education (10 CEUs per year)
  • Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to meet patient needs
  • Prepare and calibrate testing equipment, apply electrodes and sensors, perform physiological calibrations, and fit positive airway pressure masks
  • Follow protocols to ensure proper data collection
  • Score polysomnographs accurately and generate reports
  • Review and maintain patient medical records
  • Perform patient registration and obtain informed consents
Qualifications
  • Certification by a recognized certification board and credential in RST, RPSGT, or SDS
  • AHA BLS certification
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Leadership and delegation abilities
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to document clinical information clearly
