Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan seeks a Registered Sleep Tech for the Sleep Disorders Center. The role is part-time with a night shift from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, located in Charlevoix/Traverse City, MI, with a $4,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include PSG, PAP titration, CO2 monitoring, and reporting per AASM guidelines. BRPT/NBRC/ABRET certification is preferred; high school diploma required. Vaccination requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• BRPT/RPSGT certification preferred or NBRC/ABRET with sleep experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• All employees must achieve BRPT registered status (RPSGT) within 18 months.

Responsabilités

• Proficient in all areas of sleep study including calibration, monitoring, measurement and documentation and treatment (PSG, PAP Titration, CO2 Monitoring, Oxygen Administration, etc.)
• Score the polysomnogram and generate reports summarizing sleep/wake period, REM episodes, arousal analysis, EEG phenomena, cardiac events, respiratory events, limb movements, and other physiological events according to current AASM guidelines noted in adults, children and infants.
• Troubleshooting HSAT problems as well in center equipment
• Assists with sleep center new employee orientation as directed
• Responsible for supply inventory maintenance in the absence of the Manager.

A Day in the Life

What’s Required

High School Diploma or GED

Highly Preferred: BRPT/NBRC/ABRET:

• Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) (RPSGT) OR
• Registered by the National Board ofRespiratory Care (NBRC) with some sleep experience preferred OR
• Registered by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) with some sleepexperience preferred.

Basic computer skills

All are required to achieve BRPT registered status (RPSGT) within the first 18 months of employment.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella. MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
