Munson Healthcare, located in Charlevoix and Traverse City, MI, seeks a Sleep Technologist to perform PSG, PAP titration, CO2 monitoring, and related sleep center duties. You will score studies, generate detailed reports, and assist with HSAT troubleshooting.

The role includes inventory duties and orientation support for new staff. Required is a high school diploma; BRPT/NBRC/ABRET certifications are preferred, with BRPT status target within 18 months.

• BRPT/NBRC/ABRET certification preferred; RPSGT within 18 months required.
• Proficiency in sleep studies and monitoring per AASM guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot HSAT problems and support new employee orientation.
• Maintain supply inventory in the absence of the Manager.

Job Description

A Day in the Life

• Proficient in all areas of sleep study including calibration, monitoring, measurement, documentation and treatment (PSG, PAP Titration, CO2 Monitoring, Oxygen Administration, etc.)
• Score the polysomnogram and generate reports summarizing sleep/wake period, REM episodes, arousal analysis, EEG phenomena, cardiac events, respiratory events, limb movements, and other physiological events according to current AASM guidelines noted in adults, children and infants.
• Troubleshooting of HSAT problems as well in center equipment
• Assists with sleep center new employee orientation as directed
• Responsible for supply inventory maintenance in the absence of the Manager.

Qualifications

What’s Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Highly Preferred: BRPT/NBRC/ABRET:
• Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) (RPSGT) OR
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) with some sleep experience preferred OR
• Registered by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) with some sleep experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills
• All are required to achieve BRPT registered status (RPSGT) within the first 18 months of employment.

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
