Job summary

Munson Healthcare, northern Michigan’s largest health system, seeks a Sleep Technologist to perform comprehensive sleep studies, calibrations, monitoring, and report generation per AASM guidelines. You will support PSG, PAP titration, CO2 monitoring, and oxygen administration, with opportunities to assist orientation and inventory management.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with BRPT/NBRC/ABRET credentials highly preferred.

  • BRPT/RBRC/ABRET credentials preferred.
  • Basic computer skills requested.

Responsibilities

  • Proficient in all areas of sleep study including calibration, monitoring, measurement, documentation and treatment (PSG, PAP Titration, CO2 Monitoring, Oxygen Administration, etc.).
  • Score polysomnograms and generate reports summarizing sleep/wake period, REM episodes, arousal analysis, EEG phenomena, cardiac events, respiratory events, limb movements and other events per current AASM guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot HSAT problems and center equipment.
  • Assist with sleep center new employee orientation as directed.
  • Responsible for supply/inventory maintenance in the absence of the Manager.

Job Description

A Day inthe Life

  • Score the polysomnogram and generate reportssummarizing sleep/wake period, REM episodes, arousal analysis, EEG phenomena, cardiac events, respiratory events, limb movements, and other physiological events according to current AASM guidelines noted in adults,childrenand infants.
  • Troubleshooting of HSAT problems as well in centerequipment
  • Assistswith sleep center new employee orientation as directed
  • Responsible forsupplyinventory maintenance in the absence of the Manager.
Qualifications

What’s Required

High School Diploma or GED

Highly Preferred: BRPT/NBRC/ABRET:

  • Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) (RPSGT) OR
  • Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) with some sleep experience preferred OR
  • Registered by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) with some sleepexperience preferred.

Basic computer skills

Additional Information

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
