  • Indiana Respiratory Care Practitioner credential required.
  • RRT credential preferred, with 5 years of bedside experience in critical care.

Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Department: Respiratory Therapy
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week, one 12 hour shift office time, Nights, 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m.
  • Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN

40-hour work week (12 hours office time), nights.

What You Will Do

Supervise the daily activities of assigned staff.

  • Create work schedules, coordinate and supervise daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate assigned staff on performance expectations. Provide input for hiring and termination procedures.
  • Coordinate patient care with other members of the team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes.
  • Ensure that adequate supply levels are maintained and make changes to supply as needed.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy ofPediatrics (AAP) preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
  • Bachelor's in Respiratory Care
  • RRT preferred
  • 5 years of bedside experience in critical care (Level 1 Trauma and Burn)
  • Leadership experience strongly preferred.
