Work Schedule:

  • Full-Time
  • 8-Hour Shifts:
    • Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
    • Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 4:30 AM
  • Schedule may include weekends andholidays based on departmental needs.

Position Overview:
Veterans Engineering is seeking qualified Registered Respiratory Therapists(RRTs) to support the Respiratory Section of the VA Greater LosAngeles Healthcare System. The RRT will deliver patient-centered respiratorycare to veteran populations in both acute and subacute clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide respiratory therapyservices per physician orders and protocols
  • Perform ventilator management,airway care, bronchodilator therapy, and oxygen therapy
  • Monitor and assess patients forresponse to therapy
  • Participate in code blue andrapid response team activities
  • Accurately document treatmentsand observations in the EMR system
  • Ensure equipment is maintained,calibrated, and properly sanitized

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active credential as a RegisteredRespiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC
  • Licensed or eligible forlicensure in the state of California
  • Minimum of 1 year of experiencein a hospital/clinical setting preferred
  • BLS certification (required);ACLS preferred
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen andeligible to work within the VA system
  • Strong communication and clinicalassessment skills
