Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to support Shore Care across the network, floating to locations as needed. The role provides and administers respiratory care therapy and equipment as outlined in policy manuals.

Qualified candidates have AMA-approved respiratory care education, 2+ years acute care experience, and 1 year of travel experience. NJ licensure and BLS/ACLS are required, with advanced certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
• Minimum of two (2) years recent respiratory care experience in acute care.
• Minimum of one (1) year travel experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide and administer respiratory care therapy and equipment as required.
• Float to multiple locations statewide as needed and under supervision.
• Maintain knowledge of department policies and procedures.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist, Shore Care under the supervision of the Shore Care office and assigned Director of Respiratory Services, Technical Supervisor, Shift Supervisors, provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as stated in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual. This job supports multiple locations statewide across the HMH Network and will be expected to float to locations as needed.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Graduate of an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
• Associate's degree.
• Comprehensive knowledge of all clinical aspects of Respiratory Care.
• Minimum of two (2) years recent experience of respiratory care experience in acute care setting.
• Minimum of one (1) year travel experience or equivalent required.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred

• Bachelor's of Science Degree.

Licenses and Certifications Required

• NJ Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
• NJ Registered Respiratory Therapist Certificate.
• AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification.
