Job description

Performs duties involved with the treatment, management control, and diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and/or abnormalities within the Pulmonary system.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current license from the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist through the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • If credentialed after 2002, must maintain active membership status for credentials issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
  • BCLS certification required.
  • ACLS and PALS are preferred.
  • NRP certification for those qualified to work in the NICU.
  • Must possess excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to successfully complete work within rigid time constraints.
  • Must possess reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
