JOB LISTING: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Needed at Fort Wayne, IN Hospital

Our client, a large healthcare entity in Northwest Indiana, has a need for a Registered Respiratory Therapist at their hospital located in Fort Wayne. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing respiratory care services to patients with breathing disorders. The RRT will provide care to all patient populations for therapeutic purposes. You will assess patient conditions, develop and implement respiratory care plans, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care.

Hours: 36 hours per week, Nights, Mon-Fri 5pm-5am & every 3rd weekend
Pay Range: $32 – $36 + shift differentials; weekends $3.25, evenings $3.00 and nights $4.00
Bonuses: $15,000 sign on bonus; half @ 60 days after date of hire and the other half after one year. Relocation bonus upon approval, up to $4,000.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct patient assessments to determine respiratory care needs
• Performs evaluations on patients and adjusts the care appropriately.
• Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans
• Administer respiratory treatments, medications, and therapies as prescribed
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to therapy
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and self-management
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
• Assists as a preceptor for students and new hires.
• Must be able to be on call.

Education & License/Certification:
• Must be a graduate of a respiratory therapy program.
• Must obtain entry level certification
• Must have a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the NBRC.
• Must have a current Indiana State license for Respiratory Care Practitioners.
• Must have current certification in CPR.
• Must have ACLS and NRP certifications or obtain in 6 months.
• PALS and Stable preferred but not required.
