Job summary

Texas Health Resources is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the respiratory care department at Dallas location. The role is full-time with nights (7P-7A) and rotating weekends, based in Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231.

You will join a team that values high-quality patient care, professional growth, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary staff. Required credentials include RCP and RRT upon hire, BCLS, ACLS for ICU/ED, and NRP if NICU work is involved;

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program required.
• CLIAFE compliance with foreign education equivalency required.
• 1 year Med/Surg or Critical Care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Review available medical records and obtain pertinent medical history.
• Evaluate each patient using age- and diagnosis-appropriate assessment tests and measurements.
• Apply appropriate patient care interventions according to protocol guidelines and priority of care.
• Demonstrate competence in age-appropriate assessment and individualized care.
• Use therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient’s age and treatment desires.
• Perform treatment procedures within the scope of the professional license.

Here’s What You Need

• Other Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program required
• Other - CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required

1 Year Med/Surg Or Critical Care Experience Preferred

• RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner upon hire required and
• RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist upon hire required and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support ICU and Emergency Department only 90 Days required and
• NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program NRP required if working in the NICU 90 Days required

• Performs treatment procedures that are within the scope of the professional license.
