- Lovelace Medical Center is an acute care hospital with 263 licensed beds, providing comprehensive care including around-the-clock emergency care, surgical services, non-invasive robotic spine surgery, stroke care, radiology, and oncology services.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct invasive and non-invasive cardiopulmonary exams and procedures.
- Administers, monitors, and records medications and therapies as prescribed by physicians, including setting up and maintaining patient ventilation and performing arterial blood gas procedures.
- Sets up, maintains, and monitors equipment; notifies management of malfunctions.
- Attends professional meetings and maintains credentials and licensure.
- Participates in policy and procedure development and review.
- Owns assigned tasks; performs other duties as requested.
- Communicates effectively with internal and external customers, understands instructions, and shares knowledge.
- Demonstrates cooperation and interaction with superiors, peers, other departments, and all customer groups, reflecting our commitment to "service".
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Program or related experience as a substitute.
- Current NM Respiratory Care License.
- BLS certification.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- One (1) year of related experience.
- AARC Membership.
- National Specialty Certification.
- PALS, NRP, or ACLS certifications may be required by the facility/department.
