Job summary

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
• Current NM Respiratory Care License is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the safe delivery, appropriate and effective respiratory treatment to critical and non-critical patients in accordance with current standards of practice, physicians’ orders, staffing levels and organizational policies. Adheres to policy, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

• Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho, including a 24-hour emergency department and a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities such as Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), bariatric, and orthopedic service lines.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy Program. Related experience may be substituted for related education.


• Current NM Respiratory Care License.


• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.


• One (1) year of related experience.


• AARC Membership.


• National Specialty Certification.


• PALS, NRP, or ACLS may be required by the facility/department.
