Job Description

Therapeutic Modalities: Ventilatory management, recommending and administering therapeutic regimes, airway management.

Diagnostic: Assess and perform acid-base, ventilation, oxygenation, quality control, and diagnostic procedures.

Assessment: Conduct clinical and physical assessments to ensure individualized patient-focused therapy.

Documentation: Maintain records to provide complete clinical information, ensure accurate patient charting and billing.

Equipment: Select, assemble, ensure proper function, perform quality control, and maintain infection control.

Education: Serve as an instructor to students and groups upon request.

Job Knowledge
  • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist, with credential maintained through the NBRC.
  • Maintain a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner License in the state of employment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill to care for a wide range of patients, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, primarily caring for adults.
  • Complete hospital and department-specific orientation upon onboarding.
