Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Administering respiratorycare and assisted ventilation to infants, children and adults with acute and chronic disease states in all areas of the hospital, following prescribed treatment.
  • Apply and monitoring mechanical ventilation.
  • Providing respiratory therapy in critical care, inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings.
  • Providing patient care in assigned clinical area andcompletes associated duties.
  • Communication with care team, patients and their family members and co-workers.
  • Participating in professional development and opportunities for the advancement within the department.
  • Complete RT orientation checklist of essential duties within one year (probationary period).
