Presbyterian Healthcare Services seeks a compassionate Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. As an RRT you will assess, diagnose and treat patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders, helping improve outcomes and quality of life.

Competenze

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (NBRC) required or eligible.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner license in NM.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and/or PALS preferred.
• 6–12 months of critical care experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Assists physicians with Bronchoscopy procedures and monitor sedated patients.
• Initiates ventilator protocols and coordinates ventilator management.
• Performs airway care including intubation and extubation when needed.
• Monitors high-frequency ventilators and nitric oxide delivery.
• Engages in department duties and quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

Presbyterian is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapis t to join our healthcare team. As an RRT, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. Your expertise and dedication will help improve patient outcomes and enhance their quality of life.

• Assists physicians with Bronchoscopy Procedures under departmental policy including monitoring and assessment of the level of consciousness, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems; as well as delivery of IV conscious sedation agents to include drugs in the classifications of opioids, benzodiazepines and sedative-hypnotics and their reversal agents.
• Initiates ventilator protocols; implements and coordinates ventilator management.
• Performs advanced airway care to include tracheotomy changes, extubating, and intubation.
• Initiates and monitors high-frequency ventilators.
• In NICU Therapists will also perform: Surfactant delivery, and intubation and attend high-risk deliveries.
• Optional procedures: transport team, intubation, and backup charge therapist.
• Initiates and monitors Nitric Oxide delivery.
• Performs department-specific functions as detailed within the summary of the department-specific duties.

Compensation & Differentials

• Shift Differentials: nights $5.00 and weekends $3.00
• Preceptor Differential
• Differentials for higher education, certifications and various lead roles
• Career Ladder Program Eligible Therapists may receive differential pay based on advanced certifications (RPFT, CPFT, Perinatal Pediatric, ACCS, RPSGT, etc.)

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory therapy
• Reg Resp Therapist ( NBRC )
• Respiratory Care Practitioner-NM
• BLS
• ACLS and/or PALS
• Six months to one year of experience in critical care is preferred.
