Job Summary

The qualified RRT may be eligible for a $10,000 Sign-on bonus and up to $7,500 for Relocation.

Our Registered Respiratory Therapist II (RRT) serve as leaders of the healthcare team by establishing personalized relationships with patients and their support systems. They practice under respiratory and ventilator management protocols with a high degree of autonomy, performing procedures such as intubations and insertion of arterial lines, depending on the facility.

Responsibilities

Every team member is responsible for delivering a remarkable patient experience in every aspect.

  • Act as a patient advocate by incorporating education into the interdisciplinary care plan.
  • Prioritize duties based on patient needs and acuity, ensuring timely care interventions and medical orders.
  • Administer and evaluate medication therapies, perform patient transfers, and transport patients.
  • Assess patient needs and provide routine respiratory care, including ABGs and bronchial hygiene therapy, as well as higher-level care in critical situations.
  • Practice independently within the standards of respiratory care, adhering to state requirements.
  • Critical Care Skills: Ventilator management, code blue response, airway management, blood gas analysis interpretation, and protocol use for patient care.

Qualifications

  • Education: 2-year/Associate Degree required; 4-year/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RCP licensure in the appropriate state required; BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
